Side by Side Computing Station

My boyfriend and I like to do our computing side by side and we don’t need the full depth most large desks offer. Aesthetically, we really like that exposed plywood edge you see all over the place these days. So we designed and I built this desk to meet our needs. It is 8’ wide, 22” deep, and reinforced with steel (8’ is a way too long a distance for 3/4 plywood to span, even if it is doubled up). We found a guy on cragslist selling sheets of Formica out of a storage unit for ten bucks a sheet, so this desk among many other things will be laminated. I have some bright colors I’m excited to use but kept it simple/gray for this desk. Ta-dah!
